About VisionDraft

An AI-vision OCR built to read what legacy OCR can't — photos, handwriting, Hindi, and everything in between.

What we do

VisionDraft converts images and PDFs into editable text using a modern AI vision model instead of template-based OCR. We were built because every existing free OCR tool failed on the documents that mattered most — phone photos with glare, cursive handwriting, mixed Hindi and English pages, and old scanned PDFs.

Why AI vision instead of classic OCR

Classic OCR engines like Tesseract and ABBYY read images character by character. They work well on clean high-DPI scans of modern English documents but collapse on real-world inputs. AI vision models look at the whole page in context — using surrounding words, sentence grammar, and layout — to read text the way a human does. That single shift takes accuracy from 60–70% on phone photos to 95–99% on the same inputs.

The verification loop

AI is not perfect. What separates a production-ready OCR product from a demo is what happens when the AI is uncertain. VisionDraft brackets every low-confidence word and lets you click into the original image to verify in one tap. A page of handwritten notes can be cleaned to near-perfect accuracy in under a minute without retyping a single character.

First-class Hindi and Devanagari

Most OCR tools treat Hindi as an afterthought. VisionDraft was built with Devanagari as a primary script from day one. Hindi documents, mixed English+Hindi pages, and handwritten Hindi notes are all read in the same pass with full Unicode output.
