Frequently asked questions

How do I convert an image to text for free?
Upload your JPG, PNG, or scanned image to VisionDraft and our AI OCR engine extracts editable text instantly. No signup required for basic use.
Is the image to text converter accurate?
VisionDraft uses an AI vision model that beats traditional OCR on noisy scans, photos, and mixed-language documents. Every uncertain word is flagged so you can verify it against the original.
What image formats are supported?
JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, and most common bitmap formats. PDFs are also supported on our PDF to text page.
Does it work with Hindi and other non-Latin scripts?
Yes — VisionDraft is built for Hindi (Devanagari) and English, and handles most major scripts thanks to its AI vision backbone.
Is my uploaded image private?
Images are processed only to extract text and are not used to train models. We do not share uploads with third parties.
Can I extract text from a phone photo of a book?
Yes. The AI model handles perspective skew, glare, and uneven lighting that break legacy OCR. Hold the camera roughly parallel to the page for the best result.
What is the maximum image size?
Up to 15 MB per upload. Higher resolution generally means better accuracy, so don't compress before uploading.
Can I export the text as a Word document?
Yes — after conversion you can copy the text or export the document as DOCX or PDF directly from the editor.
